In accordance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), you can delete your RoadTripPark account and all your personal data at any time.
Data deleted
Deleting your account permanently erases:
- User profile: name, email, profile picture, cover photo, preferences
- Photos and albums: all gallery photos and their files (Amazon S3)
- Trips: progress, completed stages, distance traveled, statistics
- GPS traces (breadcrumbs): all geolocation points recorded during your road trips
- Comments and likes
- Friends: friends list, sent and received friend requests
- Notifications
- Badges and trophies
- Paid access: road trips unlocked individually or through a Roadtrip Pack (refunds must be requested through Google Play)
- Device tokens (push notifications)
- Blocked users
- Authentication account (Firebase)
This action is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
How to delete my account
- Open the RoadTripPark app
- Go to Profile (bottom right tab)
- Tap the Settings icon (gear)
- Scroll to the bottom of the page
- Tap Delete account (red button)
- Confirm the deletion
- If your account is linked to an email: enter your password
- If your account is linked to Google: confirm via the Google popup
Deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email. Send your request to contact@roadtrippark.com with the email address associated with your account.
Processing time: 72 hours maximum.
What about your purchases?
RoadTripPark has no subscription: every purchase is a one-off payment with no renewal. No action is required on Google Play before deleting your account, and no future charge can occur.
Deleting the account does, however, mean losing access to unlocked road trips: they are tied to the account, not to the device. This loss is permanent and does not entitle you to a refund.
Delete only part of your data
You can individually delete certain data from the app, without deleting your account:
- Photos: open the photo → Delete button
- Albums: gallery → album options → Delete
- Comments: long press on the comment → Delete
- Friends: friend's profile → Remove from friends
Retention period after deletion
Your data is deleted immediately from our active servers. Encrypted backups are purged within 90 days maximum. Data related to road trip purchases is retained for 10 years in accordance with legal accounting obligations.
